Service Updates
2/3/2025
Power bumps in Battle Mountain have caused one of our translators to be scrambled. Crescent Valley is effected. We are working to get things back to normal and have made some changes in the mean time to keep as many channels on the air as possible. We will have things back to full capacity as soon as possible.
1/2/2025
Channel 2 has been fixed!
12/1/2024
Channel 2 in Crescent Valley is having problems due to an amplifier. Maintenance is working to adjust it remotely so there is some view-ability and will replace it at as soon as possible.
11/18/2024 5:23PM
Maintenance has been informed of the outage in Eureka and possibly Crescent Valley. He is working on the fix.
11/14/2024
Mount Wheeler Power is still working on their problems. Maintenance has come up with a solution, that will allow the generator to start when the power is having this type of problem, but has to order parts and won't be able to fix it until next week. They will be heading up to see if the battery backup has stopped because the power to it lost a leg. If it can be rest they will reset it but it will continue to happen until either their solution gets installed or until Mount Wheeler Power fixes the problem that is causing our problem.
11/10/2024 update
Maintenance has detected problems with the power supply to the mountain. They are informing Mount Wheeler Power and are hoping what they have done will keep everything up and running until Mount Wheeler can fix their problem.
11/9/2024
Prospect Peak is down. Areas around Eureka are effected. Maintenance is working on bringing it back online.
10/20/2024
The Reno stations are down due to a fiber cut. The fiber providers in Reno are working on repairing the problem.
9/27/2024
The television in Eureka is being disrupted by the Express Internet system. Maintenance is currently contacting them and getting the problem on the way to being solved. The Board is working to find a way to keep this from happening in the future.
9/9/2024
WILD FIRES ARE TAKING DOWN THE RENO TELEVISION STATIONS. THEY WILL BE UP AS SOON AS THEY CAN.
Our thoughts are with the people of Reno during this disaster.
8/31/2024
If you see the sign "Test Signal On" or some version of that, it means the source of the transmission is having problems and not our equipment. This has happened in the last 2 days and we have no way to fix it. Apparently the Reno broadcasters are have problems with the fiber feed. They will have it fixed asap. Thank you for your calls and concerns.
8/22/2024
We have been notified of an outage in Eureka. The technicians are currently looking into it. Thank you for keeping us informed of problems. Your are our eyes and ears and we appreciate your help.
8/16/2024
Eagle Communications will be working with Eureka County Public Works today trouble shooting some interference on the County public safety radio system. There will be disruptions in the television transmission in Eureka as a result. We hope this will not take long. Our viewer's safety is our #1 concern. We ask that you be patient today. Eagle Communications will also be checking your concerns about the viewing troubles recently reported. Thank you
7/10/2024
Express Internet will be replacing cables on their Tank Hill equipment tomorrow if they didn't get to it today.
This should help the reception greatly.
6/25/2027
The outage has been reported and is being checked. It is coming back to the internet again not the equipment. We will have service restored as soon as possible and work hard to prevent more outages.
As always we apologize for the inconvenience.
6/2/2024
We are still working with the internet provider and AT&T.
4/27/24
Eureka's internet provider has been having issues with too much traffic on their fiber. This has been causing pixelation on the channels. It may continue to happen until they figure out the load problem.
3/27/24
Prospect Peak is being affected by ice causing low signal and disruptions.
This will continue until the ice either melts or can be removed.
We apologize for inconvenience to our viewers.
3/2/24
AT&T is down in Battle Mountain. That means Crescent Valley and Battle Mountain do not have over the air television until the service there is restored. We apologize for the inconvenience to our viewers.
1/11/2024
Viewers, due to the Super Bowl our AT&T fiber carrier is overloaded causing poor reception for the Eureka area. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to remedy this but wait until the game ends and the usage diminishes. We apologize for the inconvenience.
1/4/2024
Due to ice on Prospect Peak, one of the Utah stations had to be dropped to make the other channels better. It will be returned when the ice is gone. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Welcome to the Eureka County Television District website. The Board has developed this for a better way to keep in touch with our Viewers.

This website will fulfill 2 important jobs:

1. It is a place for information on current outages and other disturbances in viewing quality. It will also have information on solutions and plans for the future. Viewers can check here to help decide if their problem is county wide, city wide or just at their home.

2. By using the "Get in Touch" section, viewers can contact the Board members, submit a problem report and/or request monthly meeting agendas and minutes. We are happy to hear from our Viewers.

The Board strives to improve both the television reception and our relationship with our Viewers.

Please check back frequently for viewing and website updates.
